Self-care isn’t just a one-time thing or a luxury reserved for special occasions. Forget #SelfCareSundays – do something for yourself every day of the week!

It’s important to incorporate smaller doses of ‘me-time’ into our daily lives to help maintain both a healthy mind and body. And the world agrees! Google searches for ‘self-care’ have risen by 25% over the past year.

Give yourself the attention you deserve by nurturing and replenishing yourself to help you stay at your optimum emotionally, physically and mentally.

How can you change your ways to give yourself much-needed self-care time? We’ve got some ideas…

  1. Switch off autopilot

Many of us go about our daily lives on autopilot, not paying great attention to the tasks we’re doing or the experiences we’re having. Take something simple and really dedicate your mind to it.

Our divine bath experience at Constance Prince Maurice is the perfect example of taking something ordinary and making it extra special. Indulge in a long, hot bath with aromas and soft music. Will you choose the rejuvenating ‘Spirit of Lotus’ experience, or perhaps the calming ‘Lavender Dreams’ package…

Some herbs smell great, while others can have a medicinal effect too – choose them according to your needs, soak in and inhale the healing aromas. Why not make your herbal bath part of your weekly routine?

  1. Be selfish

Try to do something each day, big or small, just because it makes you happy. Love a lie in? Treat yourself to one, maybe even with breakfast in bed!

  1. Unplug and unwind

In our modern daily lives, most of us are constantly switched on, always waiting for the next mobile notification to arrive. It’s important to give yourself a break every once in a while, and what better way to do that then to connect with nature?

At Constance Tsarabanjina Madagascar, you can tour the island exploring all that nature has to offer. Fancy some whale watching or bird watching? Madagascar is famous for its unique wildlife – will you spot the Red Cardinal Fody or the Malagasy Pond Heron?

Have you considered a loyalty programme? For the group rather than one hotel ! Most groups give recognition of guests who return to the chain /group andnot just the same hotel within the group ! It would be nice to see some recognition for returning !
Hope it’s something you can implement in the future . Some gift /reward would make returning guests feel more special .

Best of luck, Justine! It’s definitely a great idea to dedicate some time to self-care, and where better to do it than an Indian Ocean island paradise?
