Intrepid travel writer Anisha Shah advises travellers to Madagascar to end their trip with a relaxing stay by the beach, as she did at Constance Tsarabanjina.
Shah fell in love with Madagascar in her recent visit there, describing it in an article for The Address magazine, as the perfect destination for the ‘intrepid, fearless, trailblazer’. Having toured the country trying everything from night hikes through the rainforest to horse riding across the hillsides, Shah writes that she was more than ready for a bit of rest and relaxation at Tsarabanjina.

Pure white sand and turquoise waters…
‘Constance Tsarabanjina is the most exquisite private island in Madagascar,’ she describes. ‘It is authentic barefoot luxury, with an emphasis on reconnection with nature and comfort. The sandbar is a tiny haven, a fleck in the water, invisible from the mainland and surrounded by coral reef for endless diving and snorkelling with rays, grey and white dotted sharks, turtles and a rainbow palette of fish.’

The perfect place to relax at the end of an activity-filled holiday.
After weeks of exploration on the mainland, Shah was more than grateful for the ‘plush beachfront bungalows replete with hammock, sound system and outdoor terrace’, where she describes idling away the hours reading in her hammock or relaxing in the ‘rustic beachfront spa’.
Shah describes her visit to Madagascar as ‘life-changing’, claiming ‘no other place compares’, and advising readers that now is the perfect time to visit.

July 14, 2016 at 10:09 amI wholeheartedly agree.
When scouting for a honeymoon destinations, I used a very different approach. I googled secluded beaches and island images and worked back from the image search to find a destination that was near (to Kenya) and at the same time exquisite. Tsarabanjina delivered this and more.
The fragrant island paradise had all the trimmings of a secluded honeymoon spot – hidden coves, clean sandy beaches, turquoise water and no mobile phone reception…
