Capture the Sunset in the Indian Ocean

Reading Time: 4 minutes

“It is almost impossible to watch a sunset and not dream.” — Bern Williams

Sunsets are known as one of nature’s prettiest pictures.
The brilliant tapestry of colour at sunset always paint our moments into beautiful memories. Whether you are marvelling at nature’s beauty from a hammock or a dining table, every sunset is magical and definitely worth capturing!

It is only fair and proper, that we take a moment to show recognition and appreciation for glorious sunsets.
So, let’s show our appreciation of this magical event by enjoying a full week of watching sunsets, in hopes of catching one or two brilliant one.
Don’t forget to grab your camera and capture the moment!

Did you know that there is a week dedicated to immortalising the beauty of sunsets? It is called Capture the Sunset Week.
Created in 2017 by Bob Matthews, owner of Holiday Insights, he felt that sunsets are one of nature’s finest pictures.

He said, “Sunsets deserve our recognition and appreciation.”

There wasn’t a special time to recognize the magnificence of sunsets up until 2017, unfortunately.
With more people being outdoor at sunset in mid-summer, the third full week of July was selected to be the ‘Capture the sunset’ week.

So here are some of our favourite sunset snaps from across the Indian Ocean for you to enjoy!

Remember, Mother Nature doesn’t need a filter.😊

Constance Belle Mare Plage

Cotton candy sky at Constance Belle Mare Plage.

This snap captures the magical moments where blue sky elegantly transforms into a melody of pink and yellow, accented by fluffy clouds. The subtle tone gently bleeds through the leaves of the palm trees, creating a truly stunning skyline.
We’re grateful this moment was captured so that we can treasure it forever.

Constance Moofushi

When blood orange meets the deepest indigo, we are blessed with a brilliantly breathtaking skyline at Constance Moofushi in the Maldives.

Flawlessly capturing the essence of Maldives culture, this vibrant image allows us to escape and reflect on sunsets past. A true work of art, this is a visual anyone would be blessed to witness and a memory that should be preserved.
We are truly blessed, don’t you agree?

Constance Prince Maurice

This violet toned sunset draws in warm hues as a reminder of the sunshine day just passed at Constance Prince Maurice.

Framed by elegant palm trees, this snap acts as an invitation for all travellers to add Mauritius to their bucket list. Just imagine it, lying under evergreen palm trees, as the sky transforms into a melody of purple, as the pool water gently ripples – it’s the stuff of fairytales.

Ready, set, sunset!
A canary sun blazes passionately across a cobalt sky, producing bleeds of amber tones. The wooden jetty that leads you to your private villa, acts as the perfect position to enjoy this memorable moment. A picture that should take prime place in any home, we can take our eyes off this distinctly Maldives image, where the sun and the ocean embrace.

Constance Tsarabanjina

Rays for days in Madagascar.
This heavenly moment is possible only when the temperature and tides are perfectly aligned. Have you ever witnessed, one?
We don’t know about you, but we feel that the best way to enjoy this supreme skyline is to sit on the beach with our feet dipped into the ocean.

Constance Lemuria

Could this be the perfect fusion of orange, pink, and blue?

Burning amber shoots across the sapphire sky gently hugged by blush coloured clouds, creating a visual that will be forever etched in our memory.
Moreover, these colours are so vivid that they subtly reflect off the rolling waves of the Indian Ocean.
This kind of display by mother nature is a beautiful reminder that you can never watch too many sunsets!
