The Art of Vodka…

The Art of Vodka at Le Prince Maurice Laguna Bar

One of the quintessential holiday moments is that late afternoon aperitif as you soak up the last rays of the day and a cool calm descends on the day. Vodka might have taken a back seat in the last couple of years to gin as a favoured spirit for that pre-dinner drink, but there’s an art to the top quality vodkas available now, all worth indulging in.

Take your pick from our selection here, enjoyed straight up on the rocks or in a vodka cocktail.

Crystal Skull Vodka

This is a no-additives vodka which means it gives a clean dry taste but packs a punch too. Drink it straight to enjoy the notes of aniseed and vanilla.

Belvedere

This is one the best out there right now – GQ named it the ‘perfect martini companion’. It’s raised the bar with its super smooth taste and blends beautifully with cocktails where there are other stronger or fruitier flavours in the mix.

Grey Goose

An old favourite now, made with French wheat, this was a game-changer when it was released and it’s still one of the most popular for people drinking it straight up. Serve cold on the rocks with a slice of lime.

Konik’s Tail

Hunt this one down and take your time – it’s been made with three different grains to create a more complex flavor through Ancient Spelt Wheat, Golden Rye and Early Winter Wheat

Hi Jenny, thanks for your message. This depends on availability at the time, but each of our hotels offers a range of high end spirits, wines and delicious cocktails all year round :-)
