Two years of laid back luxury at Moofushi Resort, Maldives

This month we’re celebrating the second anniversary of Constance Moofushi’s chilled out elegance.

For two years we have been welcoming guests to their own luxury island in the Maldives where barefoot chic meets Constance sophistication, creating a unique vibe all of its own.

In that time you seem to have liked what we’ve done – awarding us two Trip Advisor Certificates of Excellence and the 2012 Travellers Choice Award for Top 25 Hotels in Asia.

And even though you’re happy with us, we continue to work to make your experience at Moofushi even better. In May this year we welcomed our new General Manager, Jean Franèºois Debon, who is passionate about ensuring guests have the ultimate luxury holiday experience.

Highlights of Moofushi

Here’s a run down of what we’ve introduced in the last two years:

• Moonlight dinners – a chance to treat yourself and your loved one to a romantic four course meal with champagne served on a candle-lit beach by your own private butler.

• Sandbank moments – a chance to share a table for two on a sandbank of your own for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
• Cinefushi – lie back on a star-lit beach and watch a movie while we serve you popcorn, canapés, ice cream and cocktails.
• Sunrise & sunset yoga – stretch and relax in the warmth of the rising or setting sun with our beach yoga sessions.
• Special Maldivian bed decoration – as part of our turndown service

Diving at Moofushi

Diving has been one of our most popular activities since we opened, hardly surprising thanks to our stunning location on the South Ari Atoll, one of the best dive spots in the Maldives.

To make the diving experience even better we have invited a resident marine biologist for guests who want to learn more about what they see.

With their help we run a PADI shark speciality course and from December to April, there’s snorkelling with manta rays.

For die-hard diving fans and adrenalin junkies, we’ve introduced the exciting diving scooter course climaxing with a scooter dive in Moofushi’s shark pass or one of our shark points.

Weddings and honeymoons

Over the last two years Moofushi has become a popular venue for destination weddings, and our personal wedding planner has helped make many couples’ dreams of a luxury Indian Ocean wedding come true.

We may have only been here for two years but some of our guests have loved their time with us so much they have returned again and again.

Karine Hermelle has been to the resort five times. ‘Moofushi is more than just a vacation for me. You all have become my friends. Thanks to Bluetribe I passed my advanced open water diving within six days, Sanjeewa, the DJ, puts songs on that I like every night and the spa team pamper me. Thank you to you all.’
