Their Total Guide to the Indian Ocean, February edition, looks at the finest that the region has to offer.

In Gemma Taylor’s fascinating article on wildlife in the Seychelles she describes how even while staying in the luxury hotel of Constance Lémuria on Praslin, it is possible to engage with the beautiful wildlife of the country.

‘Look past the (admittedly breathtaking) golf course here and you’ll find a Jurassic paradise, with curvaceous pools sculpted Thunderbirds-style into granite.’

Taylor recommends, ‘Come in January and you can coo over turtle hatchlings scampering to the sea. Book yourself villa four or five – fabulously described as ‘the maternity ward’ – at Constance Lémuria and you may even spy some of the leathery tots in your garden.’

She also recommends visiting nearby Cousin island, a 10 minute boat-ride from Praslin, which she describes as ‘an aviary Eden’.

The magazine’s Total Guide to Mauritius describes Constance Le Prince Maurice as a grown-up hotel with some of the friendliest staff on the island. It goes on to say ‘the hotel’s beach is one of the most sheltered on Mauritius’.

Constance Moofushi also gets a recommendation in the magazine’s guide to the Maldives with its luxurious all-inclusive Crystal package. The magazine says, ‘Once you’ve factored in arranging and paying for transfers, it really does make sense to go with an inclusive package.’
