Danish golfer Steen Tinning celebrated his sixth appearance on the European Senior Tour with a win at the Berenberg Masters last week.
Following a flawless round of 69 giving him an aggregate of nine under par at Refrath, Germany, he was able to hold off German golfer and home favourite Bernhard Langer.
Tinning made his debut at the end of last year’s tour at the MCB Tour Championship held at Constance Belle Mare Plage, Mauritius.
After a career plagued by accidents and injuries in his youth, Tinning has put his current Ironman training to good use to raise his fitness and as a result was able to join the European Senior Tour last year.
Bernhard Langer is currently leading the European Senior Tour Order of Merit 2013 and looks well placed for a place at the MCB Tour Championship this December.
