As the Autumn chill sets in over London, the clothes for Spring/Summer 2017 at the London Fashion Week have been giving us plenty of inspiration for holidays with Constance Hotels and Resorts.
Here’s a look at some of our favourites and where to wear them on your next trip to the Indian Ocean.
Temperley London
Beach glamour most perfectly describes the show, featuring vibrant stunning colours based around oranges and pinks. The Alice Temperley embroidery for which the brand is renowned lends a delicacy to loose billowy dresses. These clothes are feminine, boho in mood and the perfect collection for a holiday at any one of our Constance hotels and resorts. But if we had to choose, we’d opt for Moofushi and the newly refurbished Belle Mare Plage where the in-crowd is heading this Christmas.
Paul Smith
Another of our favourite British designers, Paul Smith, showed fluid design is still a trend for next season, providing a tantalising mix of contemporary cut with a demure aesthetic. The looser cut makes these clothes ideal for the warmer weather, and the ‘muted vibrancy’ of the v neck dresses that flare out at the calf are among our favourites. Expect bold patterned floral dresses, mixed with cute short cotton tops and printed trousers. If you’re packing for Halaveli, take a look at this collection.
Jasper Conran
For classic elegance with a new modern spirit, Conran’s beautiful show drew on a romantic summer mood with shirt dresses, kaftans and A line ankle length skirts. The cut here is everything. Worn with flat nude sandals, these clothes exude understated sophistication without being dull. Le Prince Maurice and Lémuria are the perfect backdrop for this stylish range.
Emilia Wickstead
New to our list of favourites is the exquisitely feminine and subtle look from Emilia Wickstead. Full length dresses in chiffon add some old-school glamour to cocktail hour while beautifully tailored jumpsuits offer a twist to your evening wear.
