Philip Golding battled bad weather in Provence, France to claim the title at the French Riviera Masters.
The win was Golding’s second in this year’s European Senior Tour and came following a two under par round of 70.
Play was halted at the Terre Blanche Hotel Spa Golf Resort on Sunday due to a dramatic electric storm but even that could not put off Golding who finished the tournament 15 under par ahead of Cesar Monasterio.
The win puts Philip Golding at number 5 on the Senior Tour order of merit, still headed by Scotsman Colin Montgomerie.
There is only now one more tournament, the Dutch Senior Open, to be played before the tour finale at the MCB Tour Championship, Constance Belle Mare Plage, Mauritius.
