This month we spoke to Zim Ugochukwu, Founder & CEO, Travel Noire

Travel Noire is a digital publishing platform. It creates tools, resources and experiences for unconventional travellers of colour. Its products help you not only travel better, but discover your next journey. On its instagram, they share amazing images of travellers galavanting around the globe, stunning pictures of hidden destinations and inspiring quotes that’ll help you reposition your day.

What makes Travel Noire special?

“Grabbed” – Seychelles.

They spend an insane amount of time curating the best images. They look for high DSLR quality, high contrast images with interesting backgrounds and/or interactions with other people. They like bright images, blue skies and water for their destination images and they love quotes that really make you think.

What caught our eye?

“Baby Moon” – Paris, France.

Guyana: Just an overall breathtaking image. Makes you think about how small we are.

Egypt: Great colours, great quality. Shows two young women really digging into the culture by trying on new clothes

Paris: I mean, what’s not to love?

Seychelles: Unique image, their most popular image to date. High image quality and it looks like a lot of fun!

Where are you right now?

“Style” – Giza, Egypt.

Our Director of Business Operations just left Canada and is currently soaking up the sun in Spain & Germany. Our Director of Finance Operations just came back from the South of France a few days ago. I head to South America in a few weeks! I was in Lisbon, Portugal last month and absolutely loved it. A really amazing place.

What next?

“Overflow” – Kaiteur Falls, Guyana.

Our team is headed to Morocco for our annual international team retreat in December. Next on the hit list: Iceland, Netherlands, Italy, India, Belize and Brazil
