Tucked away along the east coast of Mauritius, Constance Le Prince Maurice has long been a jewel in our crown. So last month we were over the moon to hear the hotel was named #1 Luxury Hotel in Mauritius in the recent 2016 Trip Advisor Travellers’ Choice Hotels Awards.
The hotel epitomises the Constance approach to luxury where guests enjoy an exceptional level of personalised service, and each experience we offer is carefully and beautifully crafted by some of the most talented people in our industry.
The reviews written by our guests who have stayed at Constance Le Prince Maurice back this up and helped to secure us a coveted place at #16 in the Top Luxury Hotels of the World category – putting the hotel up there with the finest in the world.
So what makes it stand out, and leaving guests hankering for more year after year?
The location, design, service and size of the hotel are all cited by guests in the reviews they write. But it goes further than that – they talk about a feeling of belonging that they have when they stay with us, it’s a sanctuary away from the challenges of day to day life. We eschew mass production in favour of things created on a human scale, and focus on the timeless high quality we bring to everything we do.
“If I could give the beautiful Le Prince Maurice and the staff a hundred stars, I would. We were genuinely sad to leave after two magical weeks.”
“We came to CPM after an amazing time in South Africa, but were not disappointed. This is a truly aesthetically beautiful hotel both architecturally and in its exotic location. The beach benefits from a natural harbour with calm and bath-like waters; the sun loungers have a discrete distance to give one a sense of privacy and exclusivity with excellent service…”
“We had heard and read a lot about CPM and we were not disappointed. The property is impeccably maintained and of course the setting on the water couldn’t be much better. Our room was so comfortable and we could walk right out from our patio towards the pool and then onto the beach. The service was impeccable – the staff remembered our names, were so kind and helpful at all times. They took a lot of care to personalize our experience and went out of their way to ensure we were happy. It was also easy to explore the beautiful island of Mauritius. The Barachois restaurant is a really nice experience and we went there a few times, breakfast each day left little to be desired. There is really very little to complain about this place and we could see why some people choose to go back again and again.”
