This weekend’s Global Wellness Day on Saturday 11 June is an international celebration dedicated to living well. At Constance Hotels and Resorts we are passionate about well-being, and our hotels and resorts have become something of a sanctuary for guests over the years.
Over the next few days in celebration and support of Global Wellness Day, we are offering guests a specially created programme of spa treatments and activities to facilitate discovering a new level of wellness and awareness about what it is to feel balanced, relaxed and reinvigorated.
Holidays are the ideal time to kick-start a change in how we approach our daily lives. Here are 3 gentle ways to achieve balance while you’re on holiday, to re-find that place where you wake up feeling refreshed and excited for the day ahead:
1. Connecting with nature
The Indian Ocean is the beautiful backdrop to holidays at Constance Hotels and Resorts. Immersing yourself in such a naturally stunning setting increases your feeling of well-being – walking barefoot on powder-soft white sand, absorbing plenty of natural sunlight to give you a boost of vitamin D, being surrounded by bright tropical flora and fauna, and then of course, taking a swim in the warm ocean where you can come face to face with the rich variety of colourful marine life. This year at a number of our hotels and resorts, we celebrated World Environment Day and World Oceans Day to demonstrate our own commitment to having a positive impact on the planet.
2. Trying something newConstance Halaveli, Maldives
It’s easy to get stuck in our ways, only to wake up one day and wonder how we lost the skip in our step. Holidays are the ideal playground for trying something new – and new activities bring with them a thrill and sense of achievement. Whether you’re an adventure seeker wanting to try your hand at diving, zip-lining or water-skiing or you’re looking to take up golf, tennis or yoga, embracing these new challenges on holiday without any of the stresses of your daily life could bring the renewed vigour that has such a fundamental place in how we feel.
3. De-stressing to achieve equilibriumConstance Lémuria, Seychelles
Allow yourself to take some time to visit the spa and try a new treatment or return to an old favourite. At our Uspa, we offer a wide choice of massages depending on how you feel on the day, and what benefits you’re hoping to gain.
