Let us do the hard part for you – do you have your notebook at the ready?

1. Write A Packing List

Packing lists are a fantastic memory jogger – and are a great way to ensure you don’t forget those much-needed essentials such as sun cream, toothbrushes or medication.

We recommend jotting down all the things you want to bring before you begin the mammoth task that is packing, starting around a week in advance and reviewing every few days.

The less you travel, the more important it is to have a well-structured and reliable packing list.

In our recent blog, we outlined our top hand luggage essentials, so that’s half the job done already.

Start by thinking of the climate, this will help you decide exactly what clothes to pack.

The Indian Ocean varies in temperature throughout the year. For example, the warmest times of the year are July and August when temperatures reach up to 31°C and for cooler temperatures, the best time to visit is spring or autumn.

And remember – less is more.

The likelihood is that if you are heading to Constance Hotels & Resorts you will spend most of your time in swimwear, soaking up rays of sunshine and basking in the crystal clear water before dressing to impress and enjoying your five-star evening meal.

2. Packing Cubes Are The Answer

Get in the zone and organise your belongings into similar groups.

For example, you could have your morning and night time items all in one toiletries bag, as well as your poolside accessories in a single take away carrier.

A great way to organise your belongings before you arrive at your destination is through innovative storage options like packing cubes.

So what type of packing cubes should you choose? We recommend the Newdora Packing Cubes from Amazon (below).

These packing cubes will not only keep specific items in one place but will also make your life a lot easier when you arrive at your final destination.

With each cube having a transparent front, you can find exactly what you are looking for quickly and efficiently upon arrival.

3. Keep Documents In The One Place

Minimise travel stress by printing off all documents around a week or so before jetting off.

Keep everything in one safe place, for example, a travel folder like this

this multi-pocket slip folder (below).

By actioning this tip you will eliminate endless bag trawling and remove the feeling of ‘search stress’.

Not sure what documents to bring with you? We have listed a few examples in our recent blog.

4. Write A Travel Itinerary

A  great way to make the most out of your dream holiday is to create a travel itinerary before heading off on your adventures.

We advise planning out what activities you want to do and space them out during your stay. Why not create a calendar and start planning this today?

Here at Constance Hotels & Resorts, we have a plethora of activities and excursions you can book in advance.  Each hotel and resort has a dedicated online concierge for you to plan ahead.

Looking to relax and unwind with a spot of golf? Then good news, we have an 18-hole Championship Golf Course at our Lemuria Golf Course. Enjoy the eye-catching views of Seychelles whilst taking part in this great sport.

Or want to book in an adrenaline-fuelled activity of a lifetime? Then we recommend booking a dive in the deep blue depths of the Indian Ocean and discover the magnificent variety of sea life.

Intrigued and want to find out what other exciting activities you can fill your itinerary with? Then don’t delay, book these once in a lifetime experiences today.

5. Declutter As You Go

Travelling can feel overwhelming and stressful with the wide range of items you have to carry along the way.

In order to feel composed before and during travelling, we recommend ditching the ‘clutter’. And as mentioned above, less is more.

Before you begin your journey,  bin any rubbish you have and clean out your hand luggage bag and suitcase of anything unnecessary.

Be sure to regularly dispose of food wrappers, bottles or general rubbish so your items can be in easy reach at any time.

You’ll add to the overall peace of mind, knowing exactly where to find your phone, travel documents, camera, sunglasses or any other item that would be extremely inconvenient if they were to be misplaced.

We understand that travelling can be a stressful time, so we hope these tips eliminate that and provide you with that much-needed organisational motivation.

Enjoy every second of your adventure – from leaving your home to the moment your feet feel the soft white sand and you hear the waves of the Indian Ocean crashing in the distance.
