Upcoming exquisite culinary events at Constance

We’re delighted to be continuing our culinary associations with some of Europe’s most innovative chefs.

Tucked into the mountains of Verbier, Le Chalet d’Adrien is a luxury Swiss ski resort best known for its two highly-rated restaurants, and this weekend – 9,000 km away in Mauritius – we’ll be welcoming the hotel’s Michelin-starred chef Mirto Marchesi to Constance Le Prince Maurice for a special culinary promotion.

Chef Marchesi was one of the participants in last year’s Culinary Festival Bernard Loiseau, and last August in Switzerland he hosted Le Prince Maurice’s Chef Praveen Jugun for a separate event, so our culinary partnership is already well established.

In collaboration with our own Chef Michael Scioli, the event begins this coming Friday with a 4 hands dinner at our fine dining restaurant Archipel, orchestrated by both chefs. The following evening, a special dinner designed by Mirto Marchesi will be served at Le Barachois, our over-water restaurant set across five floating decks above the lagoon. Finally, on Sunday 22 November, we will be holding a special culinary class for our food-focused guests.

Gastrologik

At the end of this year, we’ll be hosting another fine dining event at Constance Lémuria in the Seychelles. During the festive season, chefs Jacob Holmström and Anton Bjuhr will be visiting from acclaimed Stockholm restaurant Gastrologik, who specialise in new Nordic cuisine. The two special meals, to be served on Wednesday 30 December and Saturday 2 January, will feature Scandinavian-influenced dishes such as fish served “Nordic-ceviche” style, along with local delicacies like Swedish truffles, wild garlic and lingonberries. Chef Holmström was also a participant in the Culinary Festival Bernard Loiseau, and we’re thrilled to see him return to the Indian Ocean for what promises to be two very inspiring meals.
