Global Adventuress visits Constance Lémuria, Seychelles

Travel website Global Adventuress has described Constance as ‘a hotel group that offers incredible luxury resorts, spas and golf courses throughout the Indian Ocean’.

Travel writer and consultant Patricia Stone visited Constance Ephélia and Constance Lémuria in the Seychelles, a trip which, she said, created many ‘wonderful memories’.

Writing for Global Adventuress, Stone says of her time at Constance Ephélia, ‘We found lots to do and stayed active bicycling around the resort property, exploring the beaches, working out at the fully equipped gym and even challenged ourselves to rock climb and zip line with onsite SMAC Adventures’.

Stone describes Constance Lémuria as a ‘family friendly resort set on the northwest side of Praslin with three of the most beautiful sandy beaches in the world’.

Global Adventuress is a website dedicated to female travellers encouraging its readers to share their experiences, photos and advice.

Vallée de Mai celebrates 30 years as UNESCO World Heritage Site

This year the Seychelles celebrates the 30th anniversary of the primeval palm forest, the Vallée de Mai, being declared a UNESCO World Heritage site.

Constance Lémuria, Seychelles

Constance Lémuria, Seychelles

Set in the heart of Praslin island, a short drive from Constance Lémuria, the Vallée de Mai is part of the beautiful Praslin National Park, an area of ancient forest largely untouched by human hands.

The Coco de Mer

Visitors to the UNESCO World Heritage Site can see a range of endemic species, including the protected coco de mer palm.

A 19th century British explorer was so bowled over by the valley’s beauty that he set out to prove that it was the original site of the Garden of Eden and that the coco de mer palm was the actual tree of knowledge.

Endemic wildlife and plants at Vallée de Mai

A walk around the breathtaking verdant forest, alone or with a guide, is an opportunity to spot rare endemic wildlife including the endangered black parrot, chameleons, Seychelles house snakes and green and bronze geckos.

Alongside the famous coco de mer there are five other types of endemic palms here, the only place on earth where they are all found together, as well as a range of other trees including mango and cinnamon.

Stay at Constance Lémuria

If you’re tempted by the splendour of this World Heritage Site take a look at Constance Lémuria, where you stay in ultimate 5* comfort and luxury while enjoying a holiday of discovery and adventure.

Top views in Mahé, Seychelles

Home to the nation’s capital, Mahé is a stunning lush mountainous island surrounded by perfect white beaches at the heart of the Seychelles archipelago.

Morne Seychellois

Morne Seychellois National Park

Take the time to drink in the island’s beauty at one of our top spots for views in Mahé.

1. The Tea Factory, Sans Souci

Take the drive up winding roads through dense forest to discover the stunning mountaintop view from this, still-operational, Tea Factory. Nip into the factory and discover how tea is made and buy some local tea before venturing outside to enjoy panoramic views across the western slopes of Mahé to the ocean beyond.

2. Le Jardin du Roi Spice Garden, Anse Royale

Set on the mountaintop with stunning views down to the beautiful Anse Royale below, this renovated plantation still grows and sells local spices. Enjoy the views and local Creole dishes at the plantation’s small outdoor restaurant.

3. Mission Lodge, Sans Souci

Located just below the summit of Sans Souci, this ex-boarding school for freed slaves on Mahé’s west coast has some of the best views on the island. Drink in views across the ocean to Eden island, Cerf and St Anne’s Marine Park.

4. Morne Seychellois National Park

Take a 45 minute walk through the Jurassic forests of Morne Seychellois National Park and you’ll reach the summit of Morne Blanc with views across the island’s lush interior and out to the ocean beyond.

5. La Louise, Eden Island

With its luxury accommodation, eateries, marinas and shopping arcades Eden Island is a great place to visit in its own right. But cross the bridge from Mahé on to Eden and you get a rare view back at Mahé which takes in Victoria and the entire east coast. On the far side of the island are views across the ocean to Ile au Cerf, St Anne Marine National Park and a scattering of smaller islands.

‘Nice house reef, good value for money’ from lovemoofushi

Just came back, enjoyed everything. The resort has very nice house reef. Suggest to book the seaplane schedule in advance, otherwise u might need to take the 7:00 seaplane to the resort, this is no good if u arrived Male at late flight.

Check out is 12:00pm , if u have late flight, should consider something to do for the rest of the day. The resort is quite full for the moment. The food is fine, good variety. pleasure to stay. I would highly recommend.

‘Perfect Maldivian Island’ from Tracy187

We stayed in a Water Villa on Moofushi last week, mid May. As per other reviews yes they are a good walk away from the main area but that makes them pretty private as you can snorkel straight off the steps of your water villa and we hardly saw anybody in the water there. The villas were also very luxurious with some unique design elements to it which I loved.

The food in the main restaurant was great, take lunch up on the covered area off the main restaurant and watch sharks and fish whilst eating. The staff were also lovely and even carried our plates up to our seats for us as we came back from the buffet, not that our plates were that heavy! A very sweet touch.

The pool is really lovely and relaxing with hardly anybody in it and literally a stroll away from the clearest water imaginable. The All Inclusive package is rare on 5* islands and a great idea and its lovely to be able to just grab drinks from the mini bar if you are relaxing on your decking. If you have any doubts at all, just go – you will love it as much as me!

‘Enchanting’ from charlot74

We return from the Seychelles excited! After staying on Mahé (Ephélia) we spent a week at Lemuria Resort on Praslin: Top of the Top “Chateau” … beauty, charm, luxury, peace ….. Excellent reception. Exceptional location, beautiful architecture, built in granite boulders and lush vegetation, cascading infinity pool is also built into the rocks: magnificent.

‘Top service – the best hotel in Mauritius’ from Rennscheier

This was our 2nd stay at the Prince Maurice. The service and especially the good food we liked most definitely. Certainly a top destination for golfers. This was our 7th stay in Mauritius. We have stayed in many good hotels in Mauritius (Touessrok, Dinarobin, Paradise Cove ..) Our favorite is the Prince Maurice.  Tip: book half board – you will not regret it …

Beach picnic at Anse Georgette, Seychelles

Our corporate chef Bruno Le Gac regularly shares some of the great culinary experiences on offer at our Constance hotels.

This week the spotlight is on the luxury beach picnic in the Seychelles.

Anse Georgette beach at Constance Lemuria, Seychelles

The beach of Anse Georgette is located at Constance Lémuria Resort on Praslin in the Seychelles.

Regarded as one of the world’s top 10 beaches, Anse Georgette has been left untouched and in pristine condition.

No bar. No restaurant. No beach cabana. No loungers.

The beach is just a few minutes walk or quick golf cart ride from the main reception at Constance Lémuria, through mango and sea-coconut trees, and other tropical plants.
