Jozilicious can’t get enough of Constance. Having visited Ephélia and Lémuria already she was keen to visit Le Prince Maurice, and was certainly not disappointed.

‘The thing I realised after staying at Le Prince Maurice is that it wasn’t Seychelles we loved, it was Constance. The values embodied by this brand are carried through in all the resorts and the experience is just far superior to most other hotel brands. The staff are among the most hospitable I’ve ever come across in all my travels.’

From being met at the airport by a private X5 to the pillow menu in her room to the willingness of the restaurant staff to prepare her favourite dish which was not on the menu, Jozilicious was wowed by the level of service.

She claimed staff at the hotel, ‘love what they do and really care about making your stay comfortable for you – whether this means arranging a packed breakfast for you to eat en route to an early morning flight, or cooking your favourite meal at dinner. They realise that people are individuals and have different needs and nothing is ever too much to ask of them.’

The India Post reviews Constance Le Prince Maurice

The India Post celebrates the Indian influences they discovered in the authentic Mauritian cuisine served in the restaurants of the 5* Constance Le Prince Maurice in a recent review.

Preeti Verma Lal claimed that the sumptuous vegetable samosas, halwa and dholl puri at Archipel restaurant and the homemade braised chilli balls with eggplant, basmati rice and parantha at La Barchois restaurant made her feel right at home.

‘Everything is oh so Indian but with a Mauritian twist,’ Verma Lal describes.

The reviewer says she felt a similar warm sense of familiarity at the luxurious Spa de Constance where she enjoyed the Prince Ayurvedic treatments.

The Eastern influences continued with the fitness guru and personal trainer at Le Prince Maurice, Isabelle Lamant who taught Vinyasa Yoga.

But it was the friendliness of the staff at Le Prince Maurice which Verma Lal claimed made her feel most at home.

Are you getting the most out of your 5 star hotel?

Many travellers can be reticent about getting the most from a stay in a luxury 5 star hotel, according to travel writer Mark Hodson in the Huffington Post.

Hodson suggests that ordinary travellers need to understand that excellent high-end service is what you’re paying for when using 5 star hotels and travellers should not be timid about taking advantage of this.

Ways to improve your 5 star experience, according to the post, include:

  • The concierge – Hodson describes the concierge as the pinnacle of service at a 5 star hotel. ‘The concierge is a highly-trained and well-connected fixer whose services are at your disposal.’ Available for everything from theatre ticket bookings (if you contact the concierge desk before you arrive) to restaurant reservations and bookings, the concierge is there to smooth out any difficulties, fix any problems and make your stay as pleasurable as possible.
  • Get in touch before you arrive – ‘Once you’ve made your booking, contact the hotel to let staff know how they can make your stay more comfortable,’ advises Hodson. This can mean anything from ordering the perfect pillow to informing them what brand of tea you prefer in the morning.

  • Butler service – Take advantage of butler service by having your butler unpack for you, they will also iron clothes and hang them for you if required. Hodson claims a personal butler will run any errand for you during your stay, much like an executive PA.
