The secret to finding the perfect luxury golf and beach holiday

Planning a luxury getaway can be a challenge when one of you is dreaming about white sand and turquoise sea while the other is longing for smooth greens and challenging fairways.

Nobody wants to compromise when it comes to booking their once in a lifetime luxury holiday so the trick is to find somewhere that genuinely offers you both exactly what you’re dreaming of.

Combine an elegant 5* hotel in an idyllic location with a hotel with one (or maybe two) challenging 18-hole golf courses and the result is Constance Le Prince Maurice, Constance Belle Mare Plage and Constance Lémuria.

At our 5* hotels and resorts, golfers can spend their days on beautifully maintained 18-hole, championship golf courses while non-golfers relax in luxury on pristine beaches and sumptuous spas or try a culinary class with local flavours.

The perfect beach holiday

Our luxury spas offer sumptuous treatments using natural ingredients in secluded, idyllic locations so that you can truly escape the cares and stresses of every day life.

Those looking for something a bit more active can visit our fitness suites and check in with their very own personal trainer or join one of our yoga or meditation classes on the beach.

For the ultimate fun in the sun we offer an extensive range of activities and water sports including waterskiing, wakeboarding, windsurfing, Hobie Cat sailing and deep sea fishing

Golfers’ paradise

We’re passionate about golf at Constance, and that’s why our two 18-hole, golf courses in Mauritius (accessed from either Belle Mare Plage or Le Prince Maurice) have been selected to host the European Senior Tour final, the MCB Championship, since 2009.

The beautiful Links and Legend courses are also the home to the Marc Farry Golf Academy.

The Lémuria course, built into the beautiful hilly jungle terrain of Praslin, is the Seychelles’ only 18-hole golf course. It’s stunning terraced greens, including the jaw-dropping 15th in which you tee off from a mountain peak and watch the ball fall 50m to the green below, have made this one of the ‘must-play’ golf courses of the world.

Take a lesson with one of our resident golf pros or explore the stunning terrain with friends and after a challenging round we’ll bring you a chilled glass of champagne to enjoy at the 15th so that you can relax and enjoy the beautiful ocean view.

Share the luxury 5* experience

While taking a bit of ‘me time’ on a luxury holiday to indulge a favourite pastime is important, it is also a time for reconnecting with the people you love in elegant, sumptuous surroundings.

At Constance there is always time for private moments and romance whether that be sharing a delicious sundown cocktail, walking together on the beach, taking a sunset cruise, or indulging in a couple’s massage at the spa.

Here are our top reasons to take your kids to Mauritius this year.

1. Experience the exotic wildlife first hand

Whether you choose to witness the feeding of the Nile Crocodiles at La Vanille Réserve des Mascareignes or walk with lions at the Casela Nature & Leisure Park there are plenty of opportunities to get up close and personal with exotic wildlife in Mauritius. Those looking for something a little less predatory can visit the Mauritius Aquarium to get close to over 200 species of fish.

2. The thrill of adrenalin-pumping activities

Mauritius has a wide range of activities from ziplines to quad biking that you can enjoy alongside your children, leaving the whole family feeling the thrill of new adventures. Glide through the air above tropical forests laced with stunning waterfalls on ziplines in Rivière des Galets. Kids aged 8 and over can get behind the wheel of their own quad bike in the beautiful surroundings of the Yemen Natural Reserve, other activities here include hiking, swimming in natural pools and ziplining. For more high-speed fun enjoy a day whizzing down the waterslides at the Le Waterpark, Belle Mare.

3. Scuba diving and submarines

Kids of 8 and above can take an introduction to scuba diving course at resorts like Constance Le Prince Maurice and Constance Belle Mare Plage. For younger children, or those not tempted by diving, there are other great ways to explore the depths of the Indian Ocean in Mauritius. 4. Watersports galore

There’s loads to do on the water with the kids in Mauritius with water sports including everything from water skiing, windsurfing, paddle boarding and kayaking to game fishing and catamaran sailing. For more adventures on the water take a family boat trip like the Pirate Cruise to Ile aux Cerfs on a replica pirate ship with themed shows and music on board.

5. Experience different cultures

It’s great to show kids that not everyone in the world live the way they do at home and a trip to a local fishing village or to the capital of Port Louis will introduce them to the laid back, friendly way of life in Mauritius. Visit the Port Louis food market and sample the Mauritian version of ‘fast food’ with stalls selling roti chaud and alouda, a type of Mauritian milkshake. Flacq market on Sundays is an easy-going local market with clothes, hand made wooden toys and fresh produce.

6. 5* luxury and a free kids club

Let the kids enjoy the space of a private villa with its own pool within Constance Belle Mare Plage resort, with all of its family-friendly facilities close at hand. At Constance Le Prince Maurice most family villas have their own pool. Kids in the Family Suites can have fun in their own room complete with bunk beds while parents enjoy the peace and quiet of their own seating area. All Constance hotels and resorts have a complementary Constance Kids Club where children can make friends, play games, swim, put on shows and get creative under the supervision of our friendly, fully-trained staff.
