Time to play – escape to the Indian Ocean

At Constance we understand how important it is to take time out to kick back and relax. Whether you enjoy listening to a DJ spinning tunes, dining in elegant surroundings, chilling out by the beach or deep-sea diving, at Constance we’ve got it covered.

Get active

If you’re looking for a physical challenge all our resorts offer a raft of activities including waterskiing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, catamaran and laser sailing, diving and beach volleyball.

In the Seychelles, Constance Ephélia even challenges guests with a natural climbing wall and zip wires.

If golf is your passion then we’ve got the perfect playground for you at our two 18-hole championship golf courses in Mauritius shared by Le Prince Maurice and Belle Mare Plage, and the only golf course in the Seychelles at Lémuria.

Enjoy some fun golfing frolics at the Belle Mare Plage clubhouse where, during our golf evenings, guests are challenged to putt the ball from the bar.

Music and laid-back fun

Sometimes playing can be more about chilling out than sport and adventure, and for those times we offer a combination of good music, stunning locations and an atmosphere of laid-back fun.

Dance the night away under the stars with our resident DJ at Constance Halaveli’s Jahaz Lounge on a Saturday night, while at Le Prince Maurice guests will soon be able to enjoy the new floating bar at Le Barachois with cocktails, DJs and more.

Live life on the beach

Playing hard can be tiring so why not take it down a notch with a barefoot dining experience right on the beach – eating good food outdoors can really feed the soul.

At Tsarabanjina and Moofushi we offer guests a chance to unwind with films on the beach on selected evenings. Grab a sun lounger and chill in front of a modern classic.

Keep the laid back vibe going with a beach massage on the beautiful Anse Georgette at our Lémuria resort, or on the rocks above the sea at Tsarabanjina, Madagascar.

If a spa is your way to play, come and let us look after you in any of our Spa de Constance, available in all resorts.

Here’s a round up of what’s been going on at the resort:

Interview with our first guests to check into Le Prince Maurice

Our first guests to check into the newly refurbished Constance Le Prince Maurice were Jacky and Pierrette Beasse.

Having travelled extensively across Europe from their home in Champagne Ardenne, France they had never flown by plane before visiting  Le Prince Maurice in September.

Why Constance Le Prince Maurice?

‘We have visited many other European countries but this is the first time we have travelled by plane. We waited a long time because we wanted to be sure that when we did we would experience the best.’

Planning the trip of a lifetime is not easy and Mrs Beasse wanted to be sure that they got exactly what they were looking for.

‘I looked everywhere on the internet, I went on different websites such as Trip Advisor as well as discussing different destinations with people on forums. We also had friends who came here and recommended Le Prince Maurice hotel.’

They weren’t disappointed. ‘We have many words to describe the hotel such as ‘luxurious’, ‘elegant’, ‘serene’. While we have been here we have been so relaxed it’s been like floating on a cloud. From the moment we arrived we were well taken care of and received a great welcome, much better than we had ever experienced in a French hotel – in fact they could learn a thing or two from Le Prince Maurice.’

The couple made the most of their time in Mauritius. ‘We are enjoying the beach and the boathouse, where we went for a ride on the glass-bottom boat. We also enjoyed the new swimming pool – we were alone so it was even better. We have taken walks in the beautiful gardens as well as several outings.’

And the best thing about the holiday…

They find it hard to sum up what part of their holiday they have most enjoyed. ‘Our suite, the décor of the hotel, its charm and its surroundings are all so beautiful. We have really enjoyed the calm of the hotel and especially that of the restaurant L’Archipel. We would also like to say a special word for Linda who was the first person to serve us on our arrival, she knew exactly how to make us comfortable and we really appreciated it.’

The Times tips Constance Le Prince Maurice ‘best for spa breaks’

Constance Le Prince Maurice has been tipped as the best hotel for spa breaks on Mauritius by The Times newspaper this weekend.

Following a major refurbishment at the hotel, Spa de Constance is the must-go spa destination on the island with a range of new offerings including treatments designed by renowned foot guru Brice Nicham, famed among the Manhattan glitterati and celebrities around the world.

The new Sisley spa at Constance Le Prince Maurice offers a range of treatments including phyto-aromatic facials for men and women, including the hugely popular anti-ageing range, and body treatments that enhance vitality and target areas prone to loss of firmness and tone.

Other spa highlights include the new warming rum d’esprit body scrub, made from tamarind salt, cinnamon, sugarcane and rum.

Le Prince Maurice is redefining the way hotels deliver the luxury experience.

Quietly discreet and delightfully grown up, Le Prince offers a romantic getaway where you can laugh, love and reconnect.

Dream wedding at Constance Le Prince Maurice

The high-end paradise resort of Constance Le Prince Maurice created the stunning backdrop for the wedding of David and Carina Billam.

David, an officer with the British Royal Navy, and his wife Carina were our second guests to check-in following the refurbishment at the resort.

When David and Carina started researching resorts for their forthcoming marriage they knew they wanted somewhere that exuded a discreet elegance and luxury.

What made us choose Le Prince Maurice
‘We chose Le Prince Maurice due to its understated luxury. From trawling the internet it appeared to be a discreet, luxurious and romantic location. The wedding package provided everything we needed as well as allowing for extras that we both wanted at a reasonable price.

In addition recommendations from travel agents were nothing but outstanding, it was sold to us as one of the top hotels in Mauritius – which it quite obviously is.’

On arriving at the resort the couple were struck by the warm welcome they received. ‘The lobby was incredibly impressive and we were instantly greeted by both the General Manager and the General Resort Manager, both of whom were so welcoming it gave us the impression that we were being welcomed by a long lost family.’

The staff made all the difference
The couple were delighted with the beauty of the resort but reserve their strongest praise for the staff who made their stay so enjoyable.

‘The hotel was truly reflected by the photos we viewed online, although in reality it’s far more beautiful. The location and scenery are amazing and certainly put a smile on your face each day but what keeps that smile there is everyone who works here. It feels like people are kind from the bottom of their hearts and it doesn’t make you feel that people are being wonderful purely because they are paid to be.’

Romance on the beach

The Billams were offered the opportunity to upgrade to a villa at Constance Belle Mare Plage, ‘Carina and I said no, purely for the fact that we would have missed the people at Le Prince Maurice.’

Quality in every sense
When the couple were at home dreaming about their wedding and honeymoon they imagined the luxury of ‘being able to enjoy each other’s company with no consideration for home and the stresses that work brings.’ And that is exactly what they found at Le Prince Maurice.

‘Every morning we woke up to the most incredible breakfast buffet. If the weather was promising we’d head to the beach and spend the hours tanning up and relaxing in the sun. In the evening we’d enjoy the incredible selection of food on offer – our personal favourite is the Asian tapas cooked by Li Junwei. On other days we visited the market in Flacq, the capital Port Louis and took a day trip to Ile Aux Cerfs.’

What they hoped for from their idyllic wedding location was a world of elegant luxury, ‘quality in every sense,’ which, as they describe, ‘is exactly what is delivered at Constance Le Prince Maurice.’
