The minimoon has come of age. What used to be a credit crunching short break after a wedding has become the latest trend in short luxury getaways.

The new minimoons aren’t for those who can’t afford the cash but rather for those who can’t afford the time but still want all the luxury and glamour of an exotic 5* break after the frenetic activity of a wedding.

These short breaks often include a range of couples’ activities which make the minimoon special and memorable such as secluded beach dinners served by candlelight, sensual couples’ massages and romantic sunset cruises.

The idea of fitting all the romance and excitement of a honeymoon into a short luxury minimoon is a response to the fact that many couples now choose to take time off before the wedding and so can’t justify the traditional two weeks honeymoon after.
