That moment when you decide to spend the rest of your life with the person you love is one of the most intoxicating. As the wonder moves on to thinking about how you both want to spend your wedding day, the choices and decisions can suddenly seem overwhelming.

With so many choices available, destination weddings have become increasingly popular with couples for a variety of reasons. Last week at Constance Lemuria, Seychelles, one young couple said ‘I do’ beneath a wedding arbor on the beach. Joined by close family, the newly-weds Mr & Mrs Rauth began planning their wedding several months ago with the help of our wedding coordinator.

Taking them through each step to plan their dream wedding, they were able to decide on their vision for the day knowing all the details were taken care of by a professional team on location – from the ceremony, décor, cake, hair styling, to how they would spend the morning before getting married and the celebrations after.

The result was an unforgettable day shared with their closest family.

After waking up to the Seychellois sunshine and enjoying a leisurely breakfast on the terrace at the Legend Restaurant, bride Regina was whisked away to the spa for our special Bridal treatments.

Arriving at Anse Georgette for the ceremony, regularly voted as one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, a small group of local musicians performed their wedding song.

Following the ceremony and exchange of vows, the couple celebrated with a champagne reception, private seafood bbq wedding dinner directly on the beach at Takamaka Beach Bar before the cutting of the cake, specially prepared by our pastry chef.

Turning what might be a vague idea of escaping to tie the knot into a reality is something we know well.
