Customer review: Can't wait to go back for golf!

Legends golf course at Constance Belle Mare Plage

Legends golf course at Constance Belle Mare Plage

Forgive our pride, but a recent holidaymaker (Angelfish64) visiting the Constance Belle Mare Plage in Mauritius just wrote us such a lovely review on Trip Advisor, we couldn’t help but share it with you.

As they were particularly enamoured with the golf on our Links and Legend golf courses, you might also like to read our other golfing blog articles.

Anyway, on to Angelfish64 and her holiday review from her  stay:

What a service!

“We were really impressed by the warm welcome we received at Belle Mare Plage, Hotel and Spa. We travelled there primarily for the golfing, which was excellent. The junior suite was very modern and well laid out with a balcony overlooking one of the many pools. The hotel is on a grand scale and we found the buffet-style catering suited our teenage son who is normally a fussy eater and allowed us to actually relax.

“As there was a chef on duty at each of the “themed counters”, it was a joy to find our son trying out guinea-fowl from the rotisserie and actually going back for seconds! He also loved watching the chef make his spaghetti carbonara for him, as a result it was a very relaxing holiday for me so well done Belle Mare Plage from a very thankful Mum!”

The wall allows a beautiful climbing experience with both artificial and natural routes. Feedback from guests so far has been extremely positive.

Who can use the climbing wall?
The wall can be enjoyed by anyone from 6 years to 60+ years.

Do I have to be an expert climber?
Absolutely not. The experience is very safe as people are fully attached in a harness. Instructors can  – discreetly – help you up in the more difficult passages. Men, women and children can enjoy this wonderful, unique experience in the heart of the Seychelles.

Advanced climbers are welcome at the Constance Ephilia, Seychelles

Advanced climbers are welcome

Is there anything for advanced climbers?
Advanced climbers can enjoy the walls and there are advanced climbing courses where people can learn how to use the equipments, climbing techniques, safety procedures and more.

What time do climbs take place?
Operating staff are fairly flexible on the hours you can climb, although early morning and late afternoon are cooler than midday.

They will adjust to your wishes but as a general rule of thumb, climbing takes place between 8am and 6pm.

Is there more coming soon?
Soon, we will also be offering some other cliff climbing on Mahe island as well as a zip wire and canopy ride in the next couple of months.

Top 3 Diving posts for April

Scuba Diving is a real passion of ours here at Constance Resorts Experience. We recently hi-lighted our Top 3 Diving Resorts in the Seychelles and now we would like to highlight some of our favourite blog posts from recent weeks on the subject of diving. Please let us know your thoughts and if you have any content you think we would be interested in please dont hesitate to get in contact with us via Twitter or in the comment section below. In no particular order here they are:

1. Scuba Guru – Expand your consciousness…Dive Anywhere

You don’t have to go on holiday to go diving. PADI’s diving guru gives a rundown of all the other places you can spend your time diving and honing your skills. Diving in your bath tub may not be the height of the scuba experience but it can start to prepare you for a luxurious diving holiday.

2. NDO to take the Dunker Challenge!

This really is extreme diving if ever I have seen it. Best of luck to Jeff Reed with his ‘Escape the Dunker’ Challenge. We wish him even more luck with his efforts in raising his goal of £1m to support the families of serving and former Royal Marines. You can donate to Jeff on his just giving page here.

3. Review: Sunnto D4 Wrist/Dive Computer

Scuba Diver Life have a great review of the Sunnto D4 Dive Computer. The perfect accessory for divers new and old. A great device for giving you all the vital information you will want to know when diving. It even tracks your dive so that you can analyse it later on your PC. I recommend watching the video for  closer look at the features on offer.

Golfers paradise at the only golf course in Seychelles: Lemuria

Lemuria: the only golf course in the Seychelles

Lemuria: the only golf course in the Seychelles

With Prince William and Kate Middleton rumoured to be honeymooning in the beautiful Seychelles this year, this beautiful island country is increasingly popular with those hunting for a luxury holiday destination – and that includes golf enthusiasts.

We’ve won awards for having the best golf courses in the world – and the Constance Lémuria is the only golf course in Seychelles.

This 18-hole, a Par 70, was opened on 1October 2000 and covers an area of 5580 meters. With a free green fee for hotel residents, it offers a great challenge to all levels of players, professionals and amateurs alike.

Lemuria, Seychelles: the most beautiful golf course in the world?

Lemuria: the most beautiful golf course in the world?

Many golfers have hailed Lémuria Golf Course as a golfers paradise and the most beautiful of its kind in the world – and with truly magnificent scenery spanning views of three spectacular beaches, it’s not hard to see why.

The design by internationally renowned golf architect was also influenced by Rodney Wright and the champion Marc-Antoine Farry. It incorporates a series of waterways with margins of endemic palms and broadleaf woodland.

Palm trees allow the light to intermittently filter through, fringing the first 12 holes. From the 13th hole, the course extends over the steep slopes of a thickly forested hill, with breathtaking vistas.

Anse Georgette beach welcomes you for a refreshment after the 15th hole. The club house offers restaurant bar and a boutique. Lessons, caddy player and rental equipment are also available.
