Young visitors to the 5* deluxe Constance Le Prince Maurice, Mauritius are delighting in the latest offering for children – Yogani’mals.

After having introduced spa treatments for children, Le Prince Maurice is launching yoga classes for our younger guests.

What happens at Yogani’mals?

The essence of Yogani’mals is to awaken children’s senses, and teach them about yoga through simple, fun exercises.

These yoga sessions for children help lengthen attention span, improve their sense of balance, enable a better understanding of how their body functions and strengthens them physically.

Regular classes are available through Spa de Constance, lasting up to an hour.

The 1996 British Open champion and Ryder Cup veteran kept his cool as the temperature soared to produce a near-faultless performance on the Constance Belle Mare Plage Legend course.

The MCB Tour Championship 2011 continues at Constance Belle Mare Plage this week, 5-11 December.

Here are the latest highlights from Mauritius, delivered straight from the Legend and Links golf courses by golf journalist, Neil Webber.

Tom Lehman, the most celebrated player to have competed in a professional event on Mauritius, and the Australian Peter Fowler have both given their stamp of approval to the Legend course, over which this weekend’s drama will be enacted.

In an exciting final day of the 36-hole competition in which one round is played on both the Legend and Links courses, the all-lady team of Odie Fat Lim, Aline Wong and Marguerite Kan Wah clung on to the lead they established in the opening round of the net category to emerge winners by a single point.

Australian Mike Harwood has guaranteed himself a return trip to Mauritius after registering the 10th hole-in-one of his career in Thursday’s second round of the Constance Hotels Pro-Am.

Harwood took an eight-iron for the 170 yards of the 17th hole and saw his tee shot disappear into the cup, much to the excitement of playing partners Andrew Steward, David Gourlay and Ishtiaq Hajee Adam.

Frenchman Marc Farry is bidding for a sentimental double at this week’s MCB Tour Championship as he attempts to win a second European Senior Tour event he has helped to organise. Farry has been attached to host venue Constance Belle Mare Plage for the past ten years and was instrumental in attracting the Senior Tour to Mauritius in December 2009 for the Mauritius Commercial Bank Open, which paved the way for the 2011 season-ending MCB Tour Championship.
