Bucket List Publications editor Lesley Carter blogged that Constance Le Prince Maurice made her feel as though she were celebrating life and wellness every day.
During a visit to Constance Le Prince Maurice and Constance Belle Mare Plage in February, Lesley and her daughter Athena tried everything from trampolining at Constance Kids Club to a mother/daughter pamper session at the U Spa.
‘Gone are the days of leaving kids at home with grandparents,’ she writes. ‘There is a whole world out there to explore and it is pretty fantastic when you can experience it with your children.’
Lesley describes her 3-year-old daughter as a ‘girly girl’ and after a morning bounce on the trampoline (for mother and daughter) it was time for some serious pampering at the Le Prince Maurice U Spa, where Athena enjoyed a special kids massage and nail painting session while her mum relaxed with a Signature U-Experience Massage.
‘Side by side in the couples’ treatment room, we kept smiling at each other with pure joy,’ she says.
At Belle Mare Plage, Lesley was blown away by the 2km white sand beach. ‘One thing I didn’t realise when I booked the hotel,’ she writes, ‘was the high number of free water sports included with my package. Water skiing, wakeboarding, glass bottom boat tours, laser boats, wind surfing, sea kayaks, snorkelling and Hobby Cats are all free activities. It’s a reminder that I need to come back with Darren so I can fully participate.’
Taste of Mauritius
Lesley makes special mention of La Spiaggia restaurant at Belle Mare Plage. ‘I loved the atmosphere and surroundings at La Spiaggia. Situated directly on the beach with my favourite servers, I could have eaten at La Spiaggia every night of the week… except for one. I needed to save one night for Blue Penny Cafe. Fine dining and delicious wines can be found at Blue Penny Cafe.’
After long days of playing, swimming, eating and pampering Lesley was grateful for the ‘puffy pillows’, ‘soft linens’ and ‘massive soaking tub’ waiting for her and her daughter in their suite.
Exemplary service at Constance
Having chosen Belle Mare Plage after extensive research on TripAdvisor, Lesley was pleased with her choice. ‘Doing my homework before choosing Constance Belle Mare Plage paid off. I seized the opportunity to try a new hotel chain and now I’m searching for other Constance resorts around the world. Their quality of service is reflective of the Tripadvisor reviews – exemplary.’
